UI Designer to Aarhus – Vitrolife Group

About the Role
As a UI Designer at Vitrolife, you will play a key role in designing user interfaces for our ecosystem of medical equipment and digital solutions that are targeting highly professional and specialized users. You will be focusing mainly on new products and interfaces, as well as redesigning and streamlining existing products.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, software and hardware developers, and clinical experts, to ensure our products are not only functional but also intuitive and visually appealing. This is a permanent, Full-time position based in Aarhus.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Design user interfaces for medical equipment and digital platforms, ensuring a seamless and user-friendly experience across all our products.
- Collaborate with UX designers to translate user research and wireframes into high-fidelity designs.
- Be comfortable stepping into the UX process and taking responsibilities when needed.
- Create design systems, style guides, and reusable components to maintain consistency across products.
- Work closely with developers to design the most technically sound solutions.
- Efficiently and intelligently iterate designs, adjusting to technical requirements, and incorporating usability findings into the designs.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices.
Your Profile
- 3+ years of proven experience as a UI Designer, preferably in the medical, healthcare, or technology industries.
- A passion for creating designs that improve lives and solve real-world problems.
- Strong portfolio showcasing user-centered, visually strong design solutions and attention to detail
- Mastering design tools such as Figma.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Fluency in English written and spoken.
We believe you are detail-oriented and thorough, with a strong sense of responsibility for creating solutions that meet both user needs and regulatory requirements. You are patient and persistent, as you know that design processes in this environment can be complex and require careful validation and cross-functional collaboration.
You have the ability to handle complexity and translate intricate systems into clear, intuitive user experiences for diverse user groups across global markets. Strong communication and storytelling skills enable you to confidently explain and justify your design decisions to stakeholders at all levels.
Bonus Skills & Experience
- Experience designing for multiplatform products.
- Familiarity with UX principles and user research methodologies.
- Experience in regulated industries (e.g., medical devices).
- Experience creating interfaces for global user groups.
- Strong skills in illustration, iconography, and animations.
- Ability to use design effectively for stakeholder and management communication.
- Danish and other additional languages.
Finally, you have a truly user-centered mindset and are skilled at balancing user needs with the constraints and demands that come with working in a regulated environment.
