Production Lead

About this job:
Production Lead will be responsible for performing all the production assignments involved in aseptic production of media. As a lead you are responsible for supporting the Production Supervisor with day-to-day activities including being in production on a daily basis. A Lead Production Technician may not be qualified in all the areas listed below, they are able and willing to be qualified in all areas listed below.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work in cleanrooms, Class B, C, and D, controlled areas.
- Clean all classes of cleanrooms and controlled areas
- Weighing of chemicals for production
- Formulation of products
- Filtration of oil products Class B/C, Integrity testing of filters, Aseptic Filling, Environmental monitoring for aseptic fills.
- Labeling, sleeving, and packing of products for final distribution.
- Cleaning and sterilization of caps, bottles, parts, tubing, and utensils
- QC sampling of finished product, bioburden, in-process samples
- Create and help complete or investigate nonconformities, temporary changes, permanent changes, and CAPAs, in the Quality Management System
- Work within the MRP system to report labor, materials used, and quantities of products
- Continuously work to improve production process and help eliminate waste. Help identify areas of improvement and KPIs
- Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment and report safety concerns. Be part of the safety team
- Follow, create, complete and review protocols before handing them in to help reduce errors and create complete documentation for high quality products
- Assist in all areas above for research and Development products.
- Lead by example, maintain a good attendance record, follow all processes and procedures, work well with all groups
- Take part in audits performed internally as well as audits being performed from external companies
- Assist Production Supervisor with tasks such as, scheduling, filling in for call-ins, staying from start to finish of most production runs, verifying processes are being done according to SOPs, and other tasks as needed
- Other tasks as assigned
Needed training and experience:
· Training
High school degree or GED required, BA or BS degree in science related field preferred
and or/corresponding work experience in a similar field.
· Experience
- 3 plus years’ experience working in GMP aseptic production preferred.
- 3 plus years’ experience working in a cleanroom environment, medica device preferred.
- 1 plus years’ experience in a lead role preferred.
· Work related competence
- Qualified in most production processes and procedures and able to train others in these
- areas
- Attention to detail
- Ability to foresee and prevent errors
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team and on your own
- Basic computer skills
- Excellent manual dexterity
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Ability to stand, bend, rotate for long periods of time
- Ability to maintain a safe work environment
